Creepy Cologne Cathedral
Since I enjoyed this beautiful spring Saturday, I thought I could blog something personal once again. Sarah and I finally visited the Schokoladenmuseum (Chocolade Museum). It’s one of the places in Cologne every tourist guide recommends, but eventually I didn’t find it that spectacular. We took a tour around and it was interesting to learn something about the cacao’s origin (did you know that the word chocolate originally meant “hot water”?) and the whole chocolate manufacturing process, but if I only had a day or so I probably would skip the museum in favor of other places. After the museum we went up the Rhine to enjoy dinner and some cocktails in a cozy thai restaurant (forgot the name, but Nakon Thai, it’s on the first floor of the building on the corner of Am Bollwerk and Große Neugasse). When we finally headed back home, I took this creepy picture of the Cologne Cathedral.
