Genesis reuniting for tour

I have a wide spread taste in music. The last concert I was on was Faithless, and now I’m going to see the next one! Another band I really like is Genesis. In particular, I like those albums recorded with Phil Collins as the lead vocalist. And I like Phil Collins and Chester Thompson as drummers. So you might understand how delighted I was when I heard that Genesis will be back on tour next year with right this combination. From the press release:

Tony Banks, Phil Collins and Mike Rutherford of the iconic band Genesis unveiled the dates for their first tour in 15 years. Turn It On Again – the tour, will see the band play a series of stadium concerts in Europe in the summer of 2007. Kicking off in the Olympic Stadium, Helsinki on 11 June, the tour will hit twelve different European countries, ending in Rome on 14 July.

And now guess who’ll see them live in Düsseldorf next year? Yep!

This video gives you and me a little impression of what it may be like in the LTU Arena in Düsseldorf (which has room for 61,000 visitors while the Dallas stadium had room for 65,000 visitors). Ticket sale startet yesterday at 9 a.m., I ordered mine at 10 p.m., and now I’m waiting for them to arrive. And I’m excited!
